I've seen it a million times. It looks like a messy ball on the back of the head, and it seems like maybe they took hair pins to make it look even messier.......It looks like it tood 30 seconds, but I don't know how it's done. It's just a messy updo, and I like it alot. Anyone know any messy updo's that are not formal......infact very informal and cute?

when you go to pull your hair into a ponytail don't pull it all the way through, then loop the ponytail holder around it like you usually would.

when u put ur hair in a pony instead of pulling it all the way through only pull it halfway then grab all the hair messily and wrap the hairband like halfway through that. the less u know how to do it the messier it is. haha

actually it does only take about 30 seconds. rake your hair back with both your hands, then pull hair halfway through an hair elastic letting pieces poke out, twist the elastic again and pull the hair back through. you can also pull out a couple pieces here and there to make it look more "un-done". there are ways to create this with bobby pins, but I find this much quicker and less troublesome.
