treat it like prom. go to mariposa or ross or something. they have cute dresses. and go to like, get your makeup and hair done at a beauty school.. its cheap but still good.

inexpensive fix:

#1 find a nice consignment shop and pick up a great looking dress for practically nothing

#2 call the local beauty school/tech school - get a manicure, pedicure, hair and make-up done for an unbelievably low price (I pay $15 for a manicure and pedicure together)

You could go to bloomingdales for a very nice dress and there are nice stores in New York.

well as long as you dont wear white you're all set... wear your hair down simple with soft waves and again simple yet elegant makeup will work out.

It's simple go to the mall and if you have a DEB that is the perfect place. It is May and it's Prom time so you will have plenty of stores and plenty selections.

www.bebe.com - dresses are cute, and are somewhat pricey (range from $120 - $200), not much of a selection in color though almost everything is black but there are some sleek and sexy choices ( Think victoria's secret but for a more teen crowd). Crappy quality though but if this dress is just a one time wear item and you've got cash to blow go for it!

www.rampage.com - dresses are a little more dressy and pricey but can still get something good for under $100, and the material is decent quality too. And dresses are organized into categories like evening and day.

www.forever21.com - dresses are cute and affordable but tend to be more casual but you can jazz it up with accessories, and material is decent quality

As for color of the dress, if you don't have one in mind lol Black is classic and timeless but jewel tones for evening are very hot right now and you'll definitely stand out. As for shoes, if you're looking for something cheap, surprsingly payless has the cutest selection of espadrilles this season or you can just check out the department stores selection... metallics are in again this spring/summer as well as platform pumps still. If you go for a casual dress just play up the hair, makeup, and accessories to make it more glam but if your dress is glam on it's own be subtle with everything else. With hair if you want elegant an up-do is best and you can always put in some spiral curls to not make it so boring. If you want a party girl sassy and sleek look leave your hair down and add some waves or curls for volume and texture. Good luck hon, and have fun!!!
