Prom hairstyles/ where to buy dresses?

i have curly hair that (when straight) reaches just below my shoulders.. what kind of hairstyles that are half-up half-down or just formal updos do u suggest i get? %26amp; where should i shop for a dress last minute?

definitely go with your natural curls- bring them out! that would look so glamorous with a silky, solid, brightly colored long dress- maybe a halter? natural curls are so pretty and unique; i wouldn't straighten- i would shampoo, condition, and blowdry with a diffuser and gel. don't scrunch too much where they are crinkly, but maybe add some mousse for volume.

to shop for dresses, you could try dillard's, which is where i got my prom dress. any mall should have at least 4 stores with dresses you can choose from. before going, i would look at some online pics of dresses and have a color and style in mind- try alfred angelo (below.) if things get crazy and last minute you can always find a friend and borrow one of theirs- i have done that too!

for inspiration i go to pictures of actresses whos style i admire and who have similar features to me. just search google pictures for the name of any such actress!

i would suggest to straighten your hair and part it to the side. then take a large curling iron and curl the top layer. After that, put your hair half up half down.

macys is great and cheap...so is dillards.also just curl your hair..it looks great. im doing that this year.im a sophomore and thats what im doing this year but last year i had an up-do and it looked good but i like just simple better and its cheaper.
