What is appropriate to wear to a wedding?

I have a wedding to attend sometime this summer in Florida. It will begin at 6:00 pm, it's inside, and it's formal. I have NO CLUE what to wear!! I am 20 years old, about 5'6, I weigh about 105lbs, have a small chest, and will be going with my boyfriend. I want to wear a dress and some cute heels that aren't that high as my boyfriend is only about 2 inches taller than me AND I'm a sneakers kinda girl so heels hurt!! LOL Anyway, any ideas on what to wear and where to get it cheap are GREATLY appreciated!! Also, I need some ideas on what to do with my hair. I'm a hazel eyed brunette with hair just below the top of my shoulders. Thanks guys!!

Since it's formal, you'll need to find a formal dress. Preferably, this should be no shorter than calf length.

Don't worry about being too tall. Wear whatever looks best and deal with it.

For your dress, avoid anything bright, white, or weddingish.

Bring a shawl to cover your shoulders in case it gets cold.

Your hair will need to be pulled up or half %26amp; half. "Messy" is not appropriate (as suggested above).

Here are some great options:

$54! http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2945024/0~23...

$130 (the gold is gorgeous, too!) http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2844426/0~23...

Under $150: http://www.bluefly.com/pages/products/de...

Vera Wang for under $200?? http://www.bluefly.com/pages/products/de...

Hope this helps!

You are in luck. If its a formal wedding you are attending... prom season has just ended and you should be able to find a beautiful simple long dress to wear. You could stick to Kitten heals... which are usually an inch or less in height, bring a sheer shawl or shurg along in case it cools as the sun goes down. You could also always where flats, for shoes... there are tons in the new "ballet" style.

Check your local Major department store, Debs, Marshals...

Just wear a pretty dress and some cute sandals - you can find nice dressy ones that are flat or very low heel. Put your hair up in a messy updo, wear lots of bling, and you're ready to roll!

OOPS, just reread the question and it's FORMAL. Wowsers - check around with your family and friends to see if anyone has a gown you can borrow. Otherwise, check out department stores for gowns. Yikes, it's so icky to have to buy a formal dress for a wedding! Didn't know anyone still did that these days!

Well I live in florida, and I would say something light, with either a halter top or spaghetti straps, with very light cotton material. Florida is very hot and humid and even when the sun goes down it is NOT chilly! So you will want to make sure you wear sunblock, cute shoes, and something light in color and weight!
