It's summer and I'm having trouble with hairstyles. I have hair that JUST comes up to my shoulders. This means I can't do great updos and big curls so I'm in need of help. Both casual and formal styles thanks.

Any short style is good for summer, it low maintenance and less hassle, all you have to do is get premp a little and go. Easy as a cool summer breeze. Good luck!

Is your hair naturally curly, wavy, straight?

A cute one I like is where it is shaved and stacked in the back and it gets longer as it comes around to the front. It is a straight look and you can curl it under on the sides. It parts in the middle and frames the face, is low maintenance, and I think it's just cute.

I'm also a sucker for pig tails and pony tails.

My hair about the same length as yours. Maybe abit longer. Why don't you try ponytails, french braids and a knot.
