This Type of Dress - Wrong or Right?!?!?! P L E A S E H E L P!!?

ok so prom is this weekend for me and being a procrastinating loser, i of course decided last minute to go.. prom tickets are 35 dollars and our theme is 007 this year .. the thing is, i have a dress i wore ONCE 1 1/2 years ago to a winter formal .. it's a stretchy-ish black piece, pleated in the skirt area to the knees. and the top is a slightly rouched halter .. the back doesn't dip too low. the problem is .. will it be embarressing if i wear it to prom? i mean, i only wore it once and if people remember this dress ... then oh well i guess =/ ... and it's not exactly one of those typical, flowing, silk PROM gowns if you catch my drift. it's more of a 'cocktail' dress .. (hence the stretchyness lol) ....plus if i dont buy a new dress i can use my money for a fly hairstyle, get my nails done, and maybe some pretty shoes! i'm 5'4" 1/2 ... asian, with hair past shoulders - copper dark brown dark golden skin .. i model part time soo.. any other advice on fixin up myself 4 prom? ... :(

Wear it and enjoy yourself.

Get some jewelry to dress it up different.

Or check out some cheaper wear at

If you wore it once a long time ago, I'm sure no one will know it's the same dress. The problem, as I see it, is that most girls go really sexy or glam for prom - you know, long, slinky dresses, or silky gown-type dresses - and you might stand out if your dress only goes to your knees. But I say just get your hair did and get a good manicure, plus add really sparkly jewelry, and you'll be just fine.

i just recently went to a formal, i am 21 now and wore a dress i wore to my sophomore prom, and got a million compliment! dresses that arent super prommy are generally classier and the benefit is that u can wear them afterwards and not look like u are still in highschool, lol. anyhoot i would go for it! save that cash! and have the best accessories or really nice corsage (orchids maybe) have fun!

Sorry honey. You know you are in trouble , right? Procrastination, that is a bad thing and a bad word. This was one thing you shouldn't have been procrastinating about. To tell you the truth the dress doesn't really sound all that flattering for a prom, but it is ok, for just being a cocktail dress. You could wear it yes, hopefully know one would notice it is not new. Since it is black you shouldn't have a problem getting some nice shoes to go with it. Get a nice pair of gold stiletto slipper or shoes. Wear a simple not too flashy necklace, and bracelet. With nice pairs of earrings nothing too big or overly dramatic. Wear your hair in a up do, scan through some hair magazine and find one that would suit your face. not too much hair accessories, ok. You can skip the necklace and wear a nice pair of chandelier or drop earrings. Oh and don't forget a nice small or medium size purse in gold. Remember accessories but know when too much is too much , do not over do it. You are not going to a disco, you are going to a prom, so remember, ok. Plus you said the theme is 007? So you want to be classy, not trashy. So make sure when everything is put together it says Audry Hepburn and not Paris Hilton.,
