This is coming from someone that knows. I think you should wear something casual no jeans, no long shirts, no tore clothes casual not to dressy though.

if you have lots of money then the answer is easy if not....

then a nice little black dress with some heels matchin the bag of your choice should work. If not try some trousers rather than jeans....a nice pair of high heeled boots....with a low cut top....always does the trick. Wear light make up.....and make sure your hairs looks fab...but naturelle.

the colors red or gold would look great on you. alot of people opt for black especially for formal settings but i find that a bit drab and boring. find a dress in red or gold, find a nice clutch to match and heels. classy, not stripper-like.

a black dress is always in style with some gold or silver chains. Since you have long black hair, you would also look good in a gold colored dress with some dark jewelry. Do you like red. Red is also a classic color.. And to look a little taller wear a dress that is above your knees and try to find those kind of shoes that have the long laces that you can criss-cross up your legs. My sis does that and it makes her look taller.

If it is very very formal then you would have to go with a longer dress. And then you can cheat with high heels. ( bring a pair of comfortable shoes and change in the car before you go in)

Just remember, if you don't like a particular color, but you like the dress, then you really won't feel comfortable in it. Get yourself something that you can wear again.

And sometimes a plain and simple dress with some nice jewelry and a great hairstyle is always classy. And in your case, with long free flowing hair with a rhinestone pin in it would go with anything!!

I would suggest you wear a nice simple fashionable long red dress. Wear your hear backward and put some light bright make up. Shinny gloss and a simple silk ribbon on the hair. Black high heel shoes would be nice to wear
