This is for a semi-formal dance at my school...
I have a navy satin spaghetti-strap dress that is knee-length with white polka dots and a medium size length of white lace across the middle.
1. Would this dress look okay or is it too out of style?
2. What style/color of earrings can I wear??
3. What style/color of shoes should I wear?
4. Would a small white lace-ish shrug look okay to wear all night on top of the dress?
5. what kind of a hairstyle should I do? I have shoulder-length curly hair which can easily be straightened....i'd like to leave my hair down, so I need hairstyles for hair-down....
thanks for the answers everyone
Navy and blue polka dot dress?
1. it's classic-chic. not out of style
2.i suggest hook earrings that have a cluster of beads in white, black, yellow, some bold color
3.i suggest silver or white kitten heels or some sort of bohemian-type sandal
4.no. keep the look simple and chic. a lace shrug is over doing it
5.wear the front section of your hair in a quiff and curl the rest. ashley tisdale wears it a lot like this except curlier

Navy and blue polka dot dress?
1. YES this dress sounds really cute. It sounds like a sailor outfit (but don't dress up as a sailor to the dance, and also you have your Halloween costume)
2. Some really cute earrings would be those earrings that are silver, with a lot of circles (like chandelier earrings) kinda like these but with circles

3.I think you should wear silver pumps to match your earrings. Wear something like this
